PUPAE of SPHINGICAMPA (Syssphinx) HUBBARDI direct from habitat and reared from multiple females. Spectacular caterpillars. Easy to pair, easy to rear, easy to overwinter. Keep pupae completely dry and at cool room temperature during the winter. Store them on dry paper towels in an emergence cage indoors at 50°-70°F. Do not refrigerate. Do not freeze. Do not store outdoors. Emergence in June-July.
HOSTPLANTS: honeylocust (Gleditsia), powder puff tree or mimosa (Albizia), black locust (Robinia), most Acacia including invasive Australian species, mesquite (Prosopis); catclaw (Mimosa), feather acacia (Paraserianthes), leadball tree (Leucaena) and many other legume trees and shrubs.
