COCOONS of AGAPEMA HOMOGENA direct from habitat. A rarely offered species that occupies mountains to peak elevations near 11'000' with cold winters with multiple snows and frequent freezing. These cocoons will produce moths during June-July. Overwintering should be handled as in Hyalophora for synchronized emergence in early summer. Without proper cold treatment, moths will still emerge as perfect adults, however they are prone to emerge late in the season and over a long period. Eggs take 20+ days to hatch. Very beautiful caterpillars. 
HOSTPLANTS: buckthorn (Rhamnus), mountain lilac (Ceanothus), meadow foam (Holodiscus), currant (Ribes), apple (Malus), some willows (Salix), sumac (Rhus), and some other related plants
