Confirmed Callosamia securifera pairing. Asking $15/dz + $5 shipping. Host is Sweetbay Magnolia, which is evergreen in most parts of its range. Other hosts (with very limited success) include Southern Magnolia, Sweetgum, and Tulip-tree.
An adult female was collected in July 2023 and these adults are from the ova she laid. The pupae resulting from this pairing will overwinter at temps around freezing. Do not let them drop below 28°F. Locality is Savannah, GA. This locale has an average of two generations a year, but this year is the first in a couple decades that a third generation has been noted.
