BAD TRADE WITH, Bad trade with Alexandre Laberge

Ad type
BAD TRADE WITH
Description
I have been putting off posting this for a while, hoping I will receive something in the mail. It is clear nothing will arrive. But with the temperature getting warmer here and the season ramping up, I feel that I am obliged to post this ad so it doesn't happen to other people. On Sep 24th, I had sent Alex $200 in exchange for 26 promethia cocoons and 5 cecropia($180 plus $20 for tracked shipping). On that same day, Alex emailed me back and said he would provide me with a tracking number the next day. On Sep 26th, I contacted Alex with no response. On Sep 27th I contacted Alex again about the tracking number. He emailed me back and apologized for the delay. He attached a tracking number. On Sep 30th, I contacted Alex because the tracking number he sent me was not my address. Hence it was not my tracking number. Alex said he will check with the post office. On Oct. 2, I contacted Alex for updates. He said the post office has not called back yet. On Oct. 9th, I contacted Alex for updates. He said the post office could not find my tracking number or package. He said customs likely intercepted it. On Oct. 24th I contacted Alex for updates. Alex said that my parcel was likely intercepted by customs, and I'd probably receive an interception notice in a few weeks' time. On Nov. 9th, I contacted Alex because I didn't receive anything in the mail and wanted to know what his policy is on this. Alex said that shipping was at my risk and that raising moths is a lot of work and trouble.
Alex did not provide me with any form of evidence that he actually shipped my package. Other than his word, I too ship packages, and I know that the post office doesn't just "lose' a tracking number. I have all the screenshots of the emails; I will provide them if you're interested. My email is stated above. I'm not sure if I'm the first person to have this happen to me or if I'm the only one to post about it. If you are looking to purchase cocoons/eggs or any other Lepidoptera, I would not recommend him. Buyer beware.
