FOR SALE, Spectacular LERINA INCARNATA eggs

Ad type
FOR SALE
Description

Rare, never-before-offered eggs of the arctiid, Lerina incarnata, the so-called "Crimson Bodied Lichen Moth". Multiple matings from wild stock collected as larvae from the only population of these moths in the United States! No pesky and inconvenient overwintering as larvae--the larvae will go straight through to adults quickly (by July). Easy on most any non-vining milkweed (Asclepias). Though I cannot guarantee they will take the species present in your area, they have accepted almost all species I have offered so far including the widespread A. curassivica. Larvae particularly like flowers. The newly hatched larvae are tiny, like most arctiid caterpillars, and you will need fine screening to contain them. They will not appreciate wet and sodden conditions-- they need good ventilation at all times.
