PREORDERS for EGGS of AGAPEMA HOMOGENA direct from habitat in Arizona. A rarely offered, univoltine species that occupies mountains to peak elevations near 11'000' with cold winters with multiple snows and frequent freezing. Spectacular caterpillars that are gregarious through first 3 instars. Normal care with dry rearing. No sodden, dripping conditions.
AVAILABILITY: mid- through late June
HOSTPLANTS: coffeeberry or buckthorn (Rhamnus), mountain lilac (Ceanothus), meadow foam (Holodiscus), currant or gooseberry (Ribes), apple (Malus), some willows (Salix exigua), sumac (Rhus), Crataegus, Amelanchier, and some other related plants.
PRICE: US$25.00 for 20 eggs, $10 for every additional 10 eggs
