ANNOUNCEMENT
Description
Dear Entomology community
I’m currently working in Vietnam on Hitpage plants and have collected some insect that I could only identify to the family/order.
I’m seeking help to determine the genus or species.

I’ve attached photos and collection data. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Some short discribing:
 The twig-borer Gracillariidae sp.:

Larvae are  small, with coloration changing through developmental stages, transitioning from opaque white to pale pink and eventually turning red as pupation approaches. They damage the plant by boring into young stems (non-woody shoots) of H. aptera, feeding on internal tissues, and depositing frass directly within the gallery and expelling it then, which serves as a characteristic recognizable sign in the field. At full growth, larvae turn dark pink to red and move out of the stem to pupate on leaves. They spin silk, slightly fold the leaf margin inward, and pupate inside. The cocoon has a distinctive appearance, with numerous opaque white silk bubbles on the outer surface, which may be mistaken for parasitic wasp cocoons. The pupa is exarate, pale gray to white, and measures approximately 10–12 mm in length.

Adults are very small, with a slender body measuring approximately 3–5 mm in length, and are pale yellow to metallic in color. The forewings are long, narrow, and lanceolate, covered with fine scales and bearing a prominent fringe along the lower margin. The hindwings are narrower and also fringed on both edges. At rest, adults hold their wings in a roof-like position; antennae are longer than the body and directed backward; legs are long and slender.

Thank you very much for spending time to read and check!
Best regards,
Xuan Mai
